The Handmade Leather Workshops by Taddei is a family company which carries on business for three generations.

It is located in Via S. Margherita in Florence, just across the so-called Church of Dante, the one in which the Great Poet, according to tradition, married Gemma Donati, and then met Beatrice.

The current owner, Simon, makes his products with manufacturing techniques that were of his father and before that, of his grandfather: the leather is treated fully by him in his laboratory, from the washing up to the painting and polishing.

The creation of a piece takes hours and hours of work and the objects that come from his hands are real little masterpieces.
